Product Description
One obvious indicator of a vehicle’s age is the condition of the climate control module. Lenses often get scratched or cracked, bulbs burn out, internal electronics fail, faceplate paint and indicator buttons fade, and control knobs break off. These symptoms make reading the controls difficult and changing settings impossible. C ARDONE Remanufactured Climate Control Modules are direct-fit units that fully restore O.E. functionality and erase the years of wear from this critical interior part.
Product & Technical
I replaced my climate control module and now I'm getting reduced air flow from the HVAC dashboard vents. What could be causing this problem?
The reduced air flow problem may be due to a climate control module installed without performing the HVAC System actuator recalibration process. The A/C button flashes on my manual climate control module when the A/C system is activated. The blinking indicator turns into a solid light after cycling the A/C button or ignition key. What could be the causing this problem?
This condition may be caused by a low battery state of charge on a previous ignition key cycle. Check the battery state of charge. The blower only works on one or a few of the speeds. What could be causing this problem?
This condition may be caused by a problem with the blower motor control resistor or blower motor control processor as equipped. Note, a vehicle with a manual climate control module will have a blower motor control resistor as part of the HVAC system design. A vehicle with an Automatic climate control module will have a blower motor control processor as part of the HVAC system design.I have an automatic temperature control HVAC system and my blower motor is inoperative or continues to run after the vehicle has been shut off. What could be causing this problem?
This problem may be caused by a blower motor control module failure.Air is coming out of a location that I did not select on the HVAC head unit.
This can be caused by multiple issues. There are multiple parts in the HVAC control system, and they should be inspected before replacing parts. Some vehicles have common failures, check those points first.
Core
What is a core? A core is a used automotive part that is returned to the remanufacturer instead of being scrapped. Why return cores? Cores are literally at the “core” of the remanufacturing process, because they are the raw material used to start the remanufacturing process. That’s why remanufacturers buy cores back from customers, and they pay the most for good quality cores. If a core has too much damage in key areas, it may be unusable or require extra resources to process; therefore a reduced core payment may be awarded. This core policy explains potential deductions that may be taken from the core price if certain components are missing or damaged. What is remanufacturing? Remanufacturing is the process of taking used parts, completely disassembling and thoroughly cleaning them, replacing the worn components with original quality components, and restoring them to their original function. Every unit is 100% tested to ensure O.E. performance. Why “reman”? PRODUCTS - Reman captures used, durable goods like auto parts and puts them “back on the road” to new and sometimes better than new performance. Reman provides the opportunity for detection of common failure modes and incorporation of design improvements to prevent repeat failure.ECONOMY - Reman products cost consumers about 40% less than new. Reman products are one of the few “green” products that actually costs less than their “non-green” counterparts.
ENVIRONMENTAL - Reman saves up to 86% of the energy required to build a new unit. Reman realizes Greenhouse Gas savings of up to 25 lbs. per unit over new. Reman saves up to 85% of the raw material required to produce a new unit by reusing existing products. Reman is even more sustainable than recycling, as product castings are preserved rather than melted down to raw material, saving energy and reducing emissions.
